Actaea 'Pink Spike'

Actaea Pink Spike is an excellent addition to any outdoor space. It flowers in autumn, adding colour and interest to the garden at a time of year when most other flowers are dying away.

Deeply divided, palmate, burgundy-purple leaves form a clumping base of lush foliage with tall stems producing long spikes of flowers above it. The flowers emerge white from pink buds and turn a deeper shade of pink as they mature through the season. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators find Actaea blooms irresistible, turning the garden into a buzzing hive of activity.

Also known as Baneberry, Actaea is a hardy outdoor plants that thrives in partial shade. Choose a sheltered spot out of harsh, chilly winds and allow your new plant to flourish in moist, poorly draining soil. These low maintenance garden plants should be cut back after flowering ready to spring back to life the following growing season. Actaea Pink Spike reaches an eventual height of up to 1m and spread of up to 1.75m.
