Basil Bush

Bush Basil is a compact, miniature variety cultivated primarily for the concentrated, aromatic flavour found in its tiny, dense leaves. This intense taste, which packs all the punch of large-leaved basil into a fraction of the size, is released instantly without the need for chopping. It is traditionally used as a finishing herb, perfect for sprinkling whole over pizzas, salads, and bruschetta, where its neat appearance adds visual appeal alongside its peppery, clove-like zest.

This plant is typically grown as a tender, dome-shaped annual that naturally forms a perfect sphere without much pruning. It is highly susceptible to cold and will perish quickly in frost or chilly drafts. For the best results and a tight, bushy habit, plant it in a location with full sun and warmth. It is not drought-tolerant and must have fertile, well-drained soil that is kept consistently moist through regular watering.
