Buddleia 'Buzz Sky Blue'

Buddleia Davidii ‘Buzz Sky Blue’ is a new variety with dense compact growth and large pointed spikes of light blue-purple flowers that bloom throughout summer. This early flowering deciduous shrub are Butterfly magnets, hence the name ‘Butterfly Bush’. Their sweet honey-scented fragrance will pull butterflies, bees and hummingbirds to your wildlife garden.

Buddleia Buzz Sky Blue grows only up to a certain height (1m - 1.5m). However, this dwarfism will not affect the plant’s ability to illuminate your flower border near pool area. The plant produces rich azure flowers in cone-shaped clusters, hanging from arching branches that form a fountain of dazzling colourful flowers.

The dense grey-green deciduous leaves of the Buzz Sky Blue, tinted with silver-grey undersides add a great contrast to the blooms. This flowering shrub starts blooming early summers and continues its bright performance until mid-autumn.

Removing faded flower heads will encourage new blooms in the same season. This plant develops tolerance to drought and winds, it is very hardy, once established.

It will thrive in full to partial sunlight in an average moist and well-drained soil.

Buddleja Buzz Sky Blue plants have a long-lasting flowering season. This makes them a gorgeous addition to patio containers. Use them as a perfect outdoor hedging or plant them as sunny to lightly dappled border.
