Caryopteris 'Pink Perfection'

Caryopteris Pink Perfection is an attractive deciduous shrub flowering later in the season to produce plenty of colour interest into early autumn. These bee friendly plants bloom from August to September, providing a valuable source of nectar and pollen when many other plants have stopped flowering. The pale rose-pink flowers bloom on tall leafy stems and are ideal for bringing inside for cut flower arrangements.

Also known as Bluebeard, Caryopteris shrubs make excellent border plants, adding height and texture interest among perennials while the grey-green foliage contrasts beautifully with colourful annuals. However, they also grow well in patio pots and are perfect for brightening paved or decking areas in the garden.

Pink Perfection is a low maintenance shrub that is easy to grow and care for. Choose a sheltered sunny spot and plant in well-draining soil. Once established, Caryopteris is drought tolerant and only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells. Prune back flower stems in early spring to tidy the plant and make way for fresh new growth. Mulch annually after pruning.
