Clematis 'Taiga'

A vibrant variety of the popular Clematis, the Clematis ‘Taiga’ is a newer breed that is notable for its large purple double flowers with large, flat outer tepals surrounding two-tone purple and bright green curled petals which provide a vibrant display against the darker foliage from late Summer right through to the Autumn months.

Plant in moisture retentive, well-drained soil in a sheltered position under full sun while keeping the root and base of the planted cool and shaded by other plants or protected with a layer of pebbles. Plant with the crown up to 8cm deep to encourage new growth from below ground level.
