The eye-catching shades of purple and blue easily stand out, not only because of their vibrancy, they also have a great presence due to the plants upright growth. Each flower circulates round the sturdy green stems, bringing a wonderful contrast to the foliage below. Larkspur is also an attraction for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
Growing to an ultimate height of 1m and spread of 0.3m, this Delphinium will be the perfect fit for most areas of the garden. They are low maintenance plants that prefer to be grown in full sunlight. Plant in a moist, well-drained soil and then only give it water when the soil is dry to touch. Any spent flowers should be deadheaded and frosted Winter foliage should be pruned.
