Dryopteris sieboldii
A Japanese native fern, the Dryopteris seiboldii or Asian Wood Fern is an interesting semi-evergreen fern with distinctive pinnate, leathery leaf fronds. The broad leaves are a subtle blue-green and tend to have a paler green central vein. A great option for shady groundcover spots such as woodlands or at the base of trees.
Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Prefers partially shaded areas and should be sheltered from harsh winds and frost. A slow growing, drought tolerant cultivar.
