Eryngium Magical Blue Lagoon is a vigorous herbaceous perennial with a clump-forming habit.
Its erect branched stems support long, silver-green leaves and teasel-like blue flower heads - these will develop a gorgeous deep shade of blue as they mature. Flowering in summer, this plant is well suited to growing in pots as well as borders and flower beds for a striking feature in any garden.
Eryngium Magical Blue Lagoon loves to soak up the sun and is best positioned in a south, east or west facing spot. It copes with harsh winter temperatures as low as -15 °C and you’ll start to see fresh growth as the air warms again in spring.
Dead foliage should be cut back at the start of winter, but the flowers are still attractive in appearance when faded - so you can leave them to provide winter interest if desired.
