Honeyberry 'Aurora'

Honeyberry 'Aurora'

Honeyberry Aurora is a dense, compact fruit plant with a vigorous upright growing habit. Mature plants produce up to 4kg of sweet, juicy, edible berries every year, ready to harvest from mid-June to mid-July.

Aurora honeyberries are sometimes known as blue banana berries, due to their elongated shape. They are one of the sweetest honeyberry varieties and are delicious freshly picked, but also ideal for making jams, desserts, and smoothies. Aurora honeyberries freeze well, so they can be enjoyed all year round.

Honeyberry plants are low maintenance and easy to care for. They tolerate partial shade but yield a bigger harvest in full sun. Plant in slightly acidic, moist but well-drained soil for the best results and mulch annually. Honeyberry Aurora needs another honeyberry plant of a different variety nearby for pollination.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
