Honeyberry 'Strawberry Sensation'
Honeyberry Strawberry Sensation gets its name from the strawberry-like aftertaste of the fruit. The berries are actually deep blue-purple in colour and have an elliptical, almost round shape. Honeyberries can be enjoyed straight from the plant and are delicious in jams, desserts, and smoothies. They freeze well, so you can keep your harvest to use throughout the year.
White flowers emerge on the plant in April and are followed by the 2cm fruits throughout June and July. Honeyberry plants flourish in full sun but also grow well in partial shade, although it's likely you'll see less fruit. The plant forms a dense, dome-shaped crown that is easy to care for and doesn't need much pruning.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
