Lemon Grass Herb

Lemon Grass, also known as Citronella, is an attractive evergreen herb that requires little maintenance and is a popular inclusion in kitchen gardens.

It features long blue-green stems that can blossom green and brown-pink flower sprays during the summer and autumn months. The plant is fragrant with a pleasant citrus flavour that is often used in Asian dishes, particularly Thai curries and soups. Its subtle lemony flavour complements fish very well and the leaves can be infused to make a lemon flavoured tea.

The long slender arching foliage of Lemon Grass adds structure to any outdoor space. It grows well in post and containers, which makes it easy to move into a conservatory or greenhouse during the coldest months.
