Pellaea rotundifolia
Pellaea rotundifolia is a compact, low growing fern with evergreen foliage. It develops near-flat rosettes that bear pinnate fronds, growing to around 25cm long, these are composed of rounded leaflets with a deep green colour. The leaflets themselves are borne on dark brown stems that are sometimes scaled with a pinkish hue.
Known more commonly as a "button fern", this hardy variety is ideal for a low-growing ground cover in a spot that could use a bit of greenery. Best planted in loam or sandy soil, moist but well drained, and prefers either full sun or partially shaded areas of your garden.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.
