Potentilla 'Limelight'

“Limelight” is a compact, deciduous shrub with a bushy habit. It has small, medium green, pinnate leaves which are approximately 2 to 3 cm in length.

Five-petalled flowers, approximately 4 to 5 cm across, bloom during the summer months. The flowers are paler yellow towards the exterior and turn a more orange in the centre, with golden orange stamens.

Generally, prefers sun to partially shaded areas. The flowering will last longer if the soil is able to maintain levels of moisture.

Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand the temperatures in all of the UK. Prune unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the beginning of spring.

Suggested uses include: place in foundational areas along a building or wall where you need a shrub with a lower canopy; plant in more informal gardens to add all-summer colour, like a cottage or rustic garden setting; use in flower borders and beds. As this plant is relatively compact, use in gaps of your flower beds for its long-time flower production.
