Sweet Pea 'Noel Sutton' Bedding Plants
Noel Sutton is a classic Spencer type Sweet Pea variety boasting ruffled flowers in a charming shade of lilac blue. The large flowers emerge on tall stems, with each stem bearing between 3 and 6 blooms. Flowering from May to August, these scented Sweet Peas are highly fragrant, with a strong, heady scent. They are ideal for cut flower arrangements, lasting up to 5 days in a vase indoors.
Being climbing plants, Noel Sutton Sweet Peas benefit from a support in the form of a trellis or obelisk to scramble up. They are easy to grow, preferring a sheltered spot in full sun in well-draining soil. Water well after planting and during dry spells to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Pinch the tips of young plants to promote bushy growth and an abundance of flowers and deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering.
Also known by the botanical name Lathyrus odoratus, Sweet Peas are renowned for attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, turning your garden into a buzzing hive of activity.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
