Thyme Alpine Mix

This collection of 6 mixed Thyme Alpine plants is perfect for ground cover in rockeries and gravel gardens. However, they also grow well in beds, borders, and patio pots, providing the soil is light and well-draining. Their evergreen foliage is aromatic and permeates the air around them with a pleasant spicy and slightly minty scent.

You’ll receive a mix of Thyme plants, carefully selected depending on availability and hand-picked to ensure their quality. Each variety flowers at a slightly different time, and plants may start flowering from late spring or early summer, with some varieties continuing to bloom into autumn. These small flowers are full of colour and act as a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Choose a sunny spot in light, well-draining soil and space the plants 20-30cm apart. Water regularly for the first season until the plant is established then you can neglect watering except during particularly dry spells. A light annual prune after flowering is all that is needed to keep these Alpine plants looking their best. Each Thyme plant is supplied in its own grower’s pot, ready to plant out in the garden.
