Blackcurrant 'Black Marble'

Blackcurrant Black Marble, also known as Ribes Nigrum Black Marble, is a variety of blackcurrant fruit plant. Green, deciduous foliage is accompanied in spring by small flowers, before fruits begin to ripen throughout in early summer and are ready to harvest at the end of June. These blackcurrants are large in size with a much milder, sweeter taste than many other varieties.

Plant these fruit plants in moist, well-drained acidic soil in a sunny spot in the garden, in open soil or a container. Blackcurrants are packed with vitamin C and can be eaten fresh from the plant, or they are excellent in jams, pies, pastries, and other sweet dishes!
